Youth and Women Empowerment
Youth and women empowerment is crucial for the growth and development of any community. At the Centre for Sustainable Development (CSD), we are committed to making a positive impact by investing in the future through community development projects, training programs, volunteer opportunities, and internships. Our partnerships with academia and the private sector allow us to provide valuable resources and support for young people and women, helping them to reach their full potential.
One of the key areas in which CSD has made a significant contribution is capacity development and service delivery. We understand that in order to empower youth and women, it is important to provide them with the necessary resources and skills to succeed. For example, we have successfully linked home-based workers to markets, providing them with the opportunity to earn a living and support their families. Additionally, we actively participate in the annual 16 days campaign against violence against women, raising awareness and working to end this harmful practice.
At CSD, we put women-led households at the forefront of all our interventions. We believe that by empowering women, we can help to lift entire communities out of poverty and create a more equitable society. We are proud to be a part of the “Girls Not Brides” campaign, which works to end child marriage and promote girls’ education.
We also play an active role in shaping policy and participating in local civil society events, campaigns, peaceful protests, and research. We believe that it is important to not only provide direct support to youth and women, but also to advocate for their rights and create lasting change at the policy level.
In conclusion, investing in youth and women empowerment is crucial for the growth and development of any community. At CSD, we are committed to making a positive impact and creating a better future for all. We invite you to join us in our efforts to empower the youth and women in our community. Together, we can make a real difference.
